San Bernardino Fine Arts Community Awards Grant to SJO...Again!
That's right, the two wonderful workshops put on by SJO went so well that we were awarded the City of San Bernardino Fine Arts Commission grant again for 2017. This was a great honor for Season 9, and is an even greater honor to see that SJO has been deemed worthy to continue this great community outreach opportunity for Season 10! More details will follow, so keep your eyes on the SJO!

San Bernardino Fine Arts Community Awards Grant to SJO
We are excited to announce that SJO has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the San Bernardino Fine Arts Commission. The funding will be used to produce two youth string music workshops, hosted by SJO during the 2016-2017 season. We will be accepting applications for this program from students in the San Bernardino City Unified School District, ages 11-16, who have at least 2 years of string music experience. SJO's artistic director, Michele Tacchia, is currently developing a rigorous and educational workshop program which will allow aspiring young string players in the community to study with professional musicians, and perform alongside the talented members of SJO. Stay tuned for more details.
