California Theater, Jan. 15th, 2012
Symphonie Jeunesse Orchestra was invited by Maestro Carlo Ponti to open the San Bernardino Symphony's Family Concert on Sunday, January 15, 2012. The orchestra opened with a lively performance of Iditarod by Soon Hee Newbold, depicting in music the treacherous conditions experienced by man and dogs as they braved Alaska's wild terrain from Anchorage to Nome delivering diphtheria vaccine. The orchestra also performed an in-depth arrangement of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest which follows the antics of Captain Jack Sparrow and friends, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan, as they race to recover the heart of Davy Jones and avoid enslaving the soul of Jack Sparrow. Both pieces highlighted solos from prinicipal cellist, Dana Polley.
Summer Tour 2011
Summer 2011 found Symphonie Jeunesse touring central California in the cities of Cambria and Santa Barbara. Performances were held at the First Presbyterian Church of Cambria and Trinity Espiscopal Church in Santa Barbara. Musical selections included: Canzona Bergamasca (Samuel Scheidt 1587-1654; arranged by Bob Lipton); Concerto for Four Violins (Largo-Allegro by G.P. Telemann (1681-1767; arranged by G. Doan); Seven Scottish Airs (Gustav Holst 1874-1934; arranged by Bob Phillips); Remembrance (Sarah Elizabeth Gibson b 1986); Concert Rondo in D Major (Mozart 1756-1791); Pirates of the Caribbean: Dean Man's Chest (Hans Zimmer b 1974; arranged by T. Ricketts); and Iditarod (Soon Hee Newbold 1974).
Hausmann Quartet Workshop
During their visit to the inland empire with the Redlands Chamber Music Society, Symphonie Jeunesse had the opportunity to work with the Hausmann Quartet with an on-site workshop during a Saturday rehearsal. The orchestra broke into sectionals and received specific training for their stringed instrument followed by a Q&A session over lunch. The Hausmann Quartet is based in San Diego, California, and is strongly committed to the promotion of chamber music and commitment to creative musical programs and collaborative partnerships, infusing the community with chamber music by providing the intimacy and accessibility of a garage .

Symphonie Jeunesse provided background music and entertainment for the Arrowhead Family Medical Group Christmas dinner event. Musical selections included holiday favorites Silent Night, Jingle Bells, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
AVHS
Symphonie Jeunesse provided the evening's entertainment for the Arroyo Valley High School CORE Academy Dinner Banquet & Promotion. The CORE Academy works with youth to provide a broad base of skills, including culinary arts, community outreach, etc.
Disneyland 2011 Dec.18/2011
Symphonie Jeunesse successfully auditioned in September 2011 to participate in the Disneyland Community Arts Showcase. The performance was held on Sunday, December 18, 2011, kicking off the 2011 holiday season. This was the orchestra's third successful performance for Disneyland.

Summer 2012 saw a return of Symphonie Jeunesse to Cambria and Santa Barbara. The Cambria concert was held at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with an amazing audience who were riveted by the performance. Musical selections included: Tudo Bem (Bob Lipton); Novo Cetvorno (Bob Lipton); Concerto in g minor for Two Cellos (Largo & Allegro by Antonio Vivaldi); Adagio in g minor for Strings and Organ (Tomaso Albinoni); Waltz No. 2 from Suite for Orchestra (Dmitri Shostakovich); Ice Sculptures (Brian Balmages); and Irish Legend (Robert Kerr). These selections were also performed at Trinity Episcopal Church which boasts an amazing organ.
